Business Management (OB) class exercise July 8 2023

Group discussion (40 min) and presentation (each group 15 min); group size from 4-7: to explain (including discuss) with some general and specific examples. Choose one of the four topics for group discussion.

Topic 1: role of CFO or CEO or a senior manager with 1 famous one that you are familiar with as an example for illustration: discuss your impression of the person, notably, the person's  managerial style and managerial capability.

Topic 2: role of CFO or CEO or a senior manager with 1 famous one that you are familiar with as an example for illustration: discuss your impression of the person, notably, the person's leadership strait and managerial capability

Topic 3: topics 1 + 2: i.e. on both leadership strait and managerial style for your chosen example.

Topic 4: the interpersonal role, or information role or decisional role of a celebrity CFO or CEO or a senior manager (real-life example): discuss your impression of the person's performance and competence in performing the role your group has chosen to examine. (do not cover all three role categories in your discussion; just on 1 role category is to be studied in this case).

This article makes use of the mind mapping-based literature review (MMBLR) approach to render an image on the knowledge structure of gender. The finding of the review exercise is that its knowledge structure comprises four main themes, i.e., (a) Descriptions of basic concepts and information (b) Major underlying theories and thinking, (c) Main research topics and issues, and (d) Major trends and issues related to practices .
