Literature Review has to addresss 3Vs and 4 Os:

3 Vs of Literature to be reviewed:
  • Volume: Large volume of literature
  • Velocity: New writings appear in the literature fast
  • Variety: Related ideas can come up from different sources, which need to be synthesized and cross-fertilized with each other.


4 Os is concrete outcomes of your literature review:
  • Support formulation and justification of research objectives and research questions
  • Support formulation of your synthesized theoretical framework
  • Support formulation of Research Design
  • Support theory-driven analysis of your findings
