1st supervision

To discuss topic and guidance to do proposal

-about background, direction, interests, areas, relevance

to work, accessibility of data, time management etc.

Constructing research questions.

Sharing of how research in practice.

Students: please note, a Research Proposal (10%) – about 1,500 words submission is required.

1st meeting arrangement:

28-Oct-24 to 9-Nov-24

 

Research Proposal submission deadline:

25-Nov-2024

 

2nd & 3rd supervision

Review of Research Proposal, review Literature survey

and methodology. Introduction of “visual methodologies

and archival research”. Extend discussion to Progress

Review Paper. Explanation on Ethical issue and relevant ethics forms.

Guidance on “Put together progress”

Students: An Ethics Form submission is required together with Progress Review (10%) –not less than 2500 words.

 

2nd meeting arrangement:

3-Feb-25 to 15-Feb-25

3rd meeting arrangement:

24-Feb-25 to 8-Mar-25

 

Progress Review Paper and ethics forms

4th supervision

Discussion on interpretation of findings and data; give direction and guidance on solving problems encountered by students.

Policy Analysis and making connections with theory.

Qualitative data analysis.

Checking for Referencing. (Only Harvard’s Referencing is acceptable by the University)

4th meeting arrangement:

28-Apr-25 to 10-May-25

 

5th supervision

Methods Review/ Troubleshooting

Qualitative data analysis review

5th meeting arrangement:

26-May-25 to 31-May-25

 

6th supervision

Investigation phase substantially completed.

Students: please submit preliminary draft dissertation (at least 9000 words with Completion of Presentation of Results).

Please proceed Turn-it-in scanning, if the scanning result of similarity is higher than 15%. Your supervisors will NOT read or comment your dissertation.

Preliminary draft submission date:

9-Jun-2025

Students can receive comments in 3-week time (Supervisors must return commented draft in early-Jul-25)

6th meeting arrangement: 30-Jun-25 to 12-Jul-25

 

FINAL SUBMISSION – 12000 words (80%)
