Studying knowledge gaps and contention issues in Literature Review: a note on KUBL

Studying knowledge gaps and contention issues in Literature Review: a note on knowledge-uncertainty-based learning (KUBL): In the context of MBA dissertation  project works

When students conduct literature review, they are expected to cover the academic ideas about knowledge gaps and contention issues on the chosen management topic under review. One reason for doing so is to establish the status of expert in the eyes of the dissertation report assessors. That is, the students have deep understanding of the management topic under review by showing the knowledge gaps and contention issues in the academic literature.

A more important reason is that studying these knowledge gaps and contention issues in the academic literature (notably from the academic journals) is specific intellectual learning mode, namely, knowledge-uncertainty-based learning (KUBL). KUBL fosters deep-level and critical thinking and reflection on the management topic under review.
