Formulate a dissertation proposal with a reported management case

For the GW Research Methods class, do the following task to formulate a dissertation proposal:

1. Study the management case of "Case 12: Asian Paints" (Singh et al., 2004)
2. Summarize the facts, policies, and main concerns from the case in the form of a cognitive map. (an example)
3. Consider yourself to be a management consultant with a need also to produce an academic report, draft a dissertation proposal with the following items:

a. Title
b. Introduction: with problem context,key concerns, research objectives, and research aims
c. Preliminary literature review
d. Preliminary research design
e. Project plan and resources required
f. Preliminary references



Also note the following concerns from the reported case:
a. How to achieve synergy in an MNC?
b. How to compete in a market of consolidation?
c. How to manage the post-acquisition process?
d. Strategic change or strategic repositioning.
e. International Human Resource Management or Talent management.
